Biltmore/Kiwanis 15k/5k Race Schedule of Events:
Saturday, May 18th, 2013
1-5 p.m. Packet pick-up at the DoubleTree Hotel (You are strongly encouraged to pick up your packet prior to race morning to avoid delays.)
Race Day – Sunday, May 19th
5:15 a.m.–6:00 a.m. Packet pick-up and purchase spectator tickets at DoubleTree Hotel.
5:30 a.m.–6:30 a.m. Entry to Biltmore
6:00 a.m. Creamery open in Biltmore’s Antler Hill Village selling coffee and selection of breakfast items
7:05 a.m. Welcome and line-up—starting line adjacent to the Biltmore Winery
7:10 a.m. Final race instructions
7:15 a.m. 15K Official Race Start
7:20 a.m. 5K Official Race Start
8:45 a.m. 5K Awards Ceremony Food Tent Area, 15K Awards Ceremony will follow
9:45 a.m. All runners must be off the course
Race Headquarters + Hotel Info
Race Headquarters with packet pick-up will be located at the DoubleTree Hotel, 115 Hendersonville Road (US 25), just north of Exit 50/50B off Interstate 40, one block south of the entrance to the Biltmore.
On-site registration (if available) and packet pick-up will be from 1-5 pm on Saturday, May 18. Packets not picked up by that time will be available Sunday, May 19 from 5:15 am – 6:00 am at the DoubleTree Hotel.
You are strongly encouraged to pick up your packet prior to race morning to avoid delays. PLAN TO BE ON THE GROUNDS, CHECK-IN COMPLETED, NO LATER THAN 6:30 a.m.
The Double Tree Hotel is extending a room rate special for the Biltmore/Kiwanis Race. The room special is for $149 a night for advance purchase for race weekend and is good for a room with either 2 double beds or 1 king bed. Please call 828-274-1800 to make reservations and refer to the Kiwanis Race upon calling.
What happens if the race sells out? Can I still get in?
There are several ways that you may still get a spot in the race when it sells out. When someone cancels or changes their race entry, this will free up spots to the race, which will allow someone new to register for the event. Please continue to check the imATHLETE registration page up to the race date to see if any spots have opened up. We will also post updates on our Facebook page as we see entries come available.
A waitlist will launch when the entire race has been sold out. The waitlist lets you sign up for a chance to participate in the event and is a handy way to acquire a race entry after the event has sold out. Signing up for a Wait List does not guarantee you will get in the event.
The terms for an event’s waitlist will be printed at the bottom of the first screen of imATHLETE registration only if an event is filled to capacity.
If you sign up on a waitlist, you will be notified if a slot in the race opens up for you. If you do NOT get into an event, you will not receive a refund for the waitlist slot. imATHLETE does not offer refunds. Instead, you will receive a Gift Code from the event organizer that can be used to register for the 2013 Biltmore/Kiwanis Race.

We understand that emergencies happen, people get sick and injuries happen. Participants may cancel race entries up to May 6th and receive a 50% credit towards the 2014 Biltmore/Kiwanis race.
Spectator viewing is limited to the Start/Finish area at the Winery. Spectators are required to purchase a ticket to enter the estate. They are available at packet pick-up for $20 per person. Upgrades may be purchased for $25 to include a tour of the Biltmore House.
