We are proud to announce that Biltmore Kiwanis 15k and 5k are officially certified courses by USA Track & Field (USATF), Certification code: NC170145F. No need to guess if you are truly running the distance this year, they are measured and exact courses for the 5k and 15k courses.



Biltmore/Kiwanis 15k/5k Race Schedule of Events:

Saturday, May 20th, 2017

1-4 p.m. Packet pick-up at the DoubleTree Hotel (You are strongly encouraged to pick up your packet prior to race morning to avoid delays.)

Race Day – Sunday, May 21st, 2017

5:15 a.m.– 6:00 a.m. Packet pick-up at DoubleTree Hotel.

5:30 a.m.– 6:30 a.m. Entry to Biltmore

6:00 a.m. Spectator tickets available for purchase at the Group Sales Office (at the entrance of Biltmore Estate)

6:00 a.m. Creamery open in Biltmore’s Antler Hill Village selling coffee and selection of breakfast items

7:05 a.m. Welcome and line-up — starting line adjacent to the Biltmore Winery

7:10 a.m. Final race instructions

7:15 a.m. 15K Official Race Start

7:20 a.m. 5K Official Race Start

8:45 a.m. 5K Awards Ceremony Food Tent Area, 15K Awards Ceremony will follow

9:45 a.m. All runners must be off the course

Race Headquarters 

Race Headquarters with packet pick-up will be located at the DoubleTree Hotel, 115 Hendersonville Road (US 25), just north of Exit 50/50B off Interstate 40, one block south of the entrance to the Biltmore.


Race Hotel Rooms Available for Participants

We are pleased to announce that we have room blocks set up at the DoubleTree Hotel right by the entrance to the Biltmore Estate. There are limited rooms available at our special rate. Reservations can be made by calling clicking HERE or calling 828-274-1800 and asking for the Biltmore Kiwanis race rate.

Once the room blocks are filled,  the rate will increase to the Best Available Rate.

Packet Pick-Up:

On-site registration (if available) and packet pick-up will be from 1-4 pm on Saturday, May 20. Packets not picked up by that time will be available Sunday, May 21st from5:15 am – 6:00 am at the DoubleTree Hotel. Spectator tickets can be purchased on Saturday at DoubleTree from 1-4 pm or on Sunday morning starting at 5:15am at the Group Sales office at the entrance to Biltmore Estate. 

You are strongly encouraged to pick up your packet prior to race morning to avoid delays. PLAN TO BE ON THE GROUNDS, CHECK-IN COMPLETED, NO LATER THAN 6:30 a.m.

What happens if the race sells out? Can I still get in?

There are several ways that you may still get a spot in the race when it sells out. When someone cancels or changes their race entry, this will free up spots to the race, which will allow someone new to register for the event. Please continue to check the imathlete.com registration page up to the race date to see if any spots have opened up. We will also post updates on our Facebook page as we see entries come available.


A waitlist will launch when the entire race has been sold out. The waitlist lets you sign up for a chance to participate in the event and is a handy way to acquire a race entry after the event has sold out. Signing up for a Wait List does not guarantee you will get in the event.

If you sign up on a waitlist, you will be notified if a slot in the race opens up for you. If you do NOT get into an event, you will not receive a refund for the waitlist slot. imathlete.com does not offer refunds. Instead, you will receive a Gift Code from the event organizer that can be used to register for the 2018 Biltmore/Kiwanis Race.

Cancellation Policy:

We understand that emergencies happen, people get sick and injuries occur. Participants may cancel race entries up to April 1st and receive a 50% credit towards the 2018 Biltmore/Kiwanis race. All entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Please email us by April 1st, 2017 if you need to cancel.

Spectator Tickets:

Spectator viewing is limited to the Start/Finish area at the Winery. Spectators are required to purchase a ticket to enter the estate. They are available at packet pick-up for $23 +tax (per person) or $18 + tax for Biltmore Annual Passholders. It costs only $29 + tax to upgrade entry tickets for all day pass and House access or $69 +tax to upgrade your ticket to a 12-month pass. Any child of a spectator between the ages of 10-16 will pay the regular spectator ticket rate of $23 +tax and children age 9 and younger accompanied by their paying parent will be admitted free.

Race Course Map:

The ‘race hub’ for the race will be held in the Antler Hill Village area. This estate map shows both race courses as well as the best spots to find the restrooms!

Course Time Limit:

Due to the nature of the event being on Biltmore’s property, there is a time limit for the event. All runners must be done with their respective races by 9:45am. The 15k Runners must be past the Biltmore House by 9:15am. For the safety of the runners and the guests at Biltmore Estate, if 15k runners are not past the House by 9:15am,  our SAG vehicle will pick the runner up and take them back to the start/finish area.

Antler Hill Village at Biltmore:

Biltmore has extended an invitation to all race participants + spectators to explore all there is to offer in the Antler Hill Village until 1pm on race day.

Legacy (exhibit about Vanderbilts) – 11:00am
Traditions (retail) – 11:00am
Winery – noon
Outdoor Center  – 9:00am

All proceeds from the race support the following Kiwanis programs: Sleep Tight Kids, Smart Start, 4-H Calf Program, Paundemonium Chess Program, School Spelling Bee, Bike Giveaway, Christmas Shopping Spree, Family Fun Day, Down Syndrome Buddy Walk, Action Club, Terrific Kids, Key Club, Support ABCCM, Support Salvation Army, and Support Boys & Girls Club.
